Taste of Thailand is a registered Australian trademark.
Our first restaurant was set up in Sydney in 1985 later in 1992 we relocated to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland and opened our restaurant The Taste of Thailand.
In 1993 we opened our second restaurant in Port Douglas called The Star of Siam and in 1998 we expanded into Abu Dhabi in UAE under the name The Taste of Thailand. (Since 1985-Present) Taste Of Thailand have opened more than 18 outlets and catered for multiple movie sets, we have also advised numerous succesful Thai food operators.
In 1995 we purchased land 16Km south of Port Douglas at Oak Beach, where we grow all our own Thai herbs such as chillies, Kaffir Lime, galingale, Thai basil, hot basil, vegetables and flavourings. This way we have a reliable source of the fresh ingredients that are essential for Thai cooking.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to source all ingredients in many parts of Australia and even more difficult to find experienced and trained kitchen staff.
We have spent the last 3 years working together with a renowned food manufacturer in Thailand, And now successfully created our own signature Thai curry and stir fry sauces.
